Birth Doula

BIO

I am Dameneke (pronounced Dominique), born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, by an immigrant father from St. Lucia. I enjoy shopping at my local farmers' market and cooking delicious meals. You can also find me meditating, practicing yoga/pilates, or caring for my 20+ plant babies.

My passion for birthwork stems from my qualities as an advocate and leader. My passion for helping others has been with me since childhood, as the oldest of two siblings. But, my awakening to my calling into birth work began during my time shadowing midwives and doulas in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Witnessing their dedication to serving their community left a profound impact on me. It reinforced my belief that one's profession is more than just a job; it's a calling to uplift and support those around us.

I am honored to bring my calling as a doula to Music City Doulas. Together, we will create a personalized plan that caters to both you and your baby's needs. I welcome all clients regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender. Psalms 23:3.
