Elizabeth McGuire
she/her
Birth Doula
BIO
Elizabeth is a transplant from Stone Mountain, Georgia who moved to Smyrna in 2011 after meeting her husband from Murfreesboro. She attended college in Rome, Georgia where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.
After the assistance of a birth doula in 2016 for the birth of her first child, Lucas, she was fascinated by all things birth. And it wasn't until 2020 after the birth of her second child, Naomi, that she decided to pursue doula work herself.
Elizabeth started her training in 2021 with DONA, and in 2022 retrained and certified with BADT as a full spectrum doula. While she does assist from time to time with postpartum work, her heart lies in birth work.
Elizabeth likes to think of herself as a laid back doula, who goes with the flow. She likes to bring calmness and steadiness to the birth space and prioritizes comfort and choice for her clients. She is also trained in Blossoming Bellies Method for movement techniques and loves to utilize this training in her approach to birth.
When Elizabeth isn't helping with births, she enjoys homeschooling her kids and the adventures that come with learning at home. In addition to hanging with her kids, she also spends time with her two dogs, three reptiles and tending to her houseplant obsession.
