Our mission is to ensure new and growing families feel respected, empowered, and affirmed through pre-conception, pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
ASHLEY STEBBINS, RN
Co-owner
Ashley’s interest in pregnancy and birth began in 2009 when she attended the birth of her first nephew. Shortly after graduating with a bachelor's degree in business in 2010, she moved to southeast Asia, where she would remain for the next two years teaching English and yoga. Upon returning to Tennessee, Ashley became certified as a prenatal yoga instructor and doula, opening a solo doula practice in 2014 before partnering with Arielle and opening Music City Doulas a year later.

Through her work as a doula and childbirth educator, Ashley aims to present options and evidence so each family may choose what suits them best. She has much experience with natural and medicated births, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, VBACs, and has worked in homes, birth centers, and a wide variety of our local hospitals.
Ashley's passion for family-centered care steered her into becoming a nurse. Outside of her work, Ashley enjoys tending to her modest patio container garden and playing with her rambunctious kitten and cuddly older cat who mostly just tolerates the kitten.
ARIELLE FEARS
Co-owner
Arielle Fears comes from a family of massage therapists and teachers, growing up in her grandmother's massage school and spending time with members of the "alternative" crowd: chiropractors, acupuncturists, herbalists, midwives, and the like. After the birth of her first child in 2012, it felt natural and not at all out of the ordinary to pursue supporting families as a doula. She opened her own practice in Nashville and shortly after joined forces with Ashley to create Music City Doulas in 2015.

Her own struggles and dark periods in pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood have given her a deep appreciation for the many ways and methods there are to be a good parent, as well as an improved sense of humor. Arielle is fiercely dedicated to nurturing and affirming all families, including fellow members of the LGBTQIA community, both in her work and outside of it. She feels lucky to support her own family through doula work and grateful for every single family that welcomes her into their lives.

A lifelong learner, she is currently studying to be a licensed Certifed Professional Midwife to once again expand professional offerings to the Middle Tennessee community. Outside of work and studies, Arielle is with her own family of four, keeping an ambitious and messy garden, complete with chickens and beehives, or hiking with her beloved rescue dog.
